About Me

A gundog natural instinct is to retrieve. Retrieving Trials provide a perfect avenue for these dogs to express their natural abilities, have fun and exercise. Our sport simulates hunting conditions where the dogs ability to retrieve is tested over various terrain and conditions commonly found in hunting scenarios. The dogs retrieve Dokken Dead Fowl Trainers (artificial game) from anything from dams or creeks to thick marsh or sparse paddocks. We strive to make our competitions a friendly and social environment where our competitors can not only compete whilst having fun with their canine companions, but also enjoy the comradery and friendships that develop with people of similar interests.

Mrs Fran Jones - Funeral Arrangements

One  of our members sadly passed away last Saturday.

Fran Jones was an active member of UFR from 'day 1', Vice President Training,  Retrieving Judge and a lady who loved nothing more than spending time with her husband and  her dogs.

Fran had successes with Retrieving and Tracking. She will be missed.

Fran's funeral arrangements are as follows -
'Garden Chapel' Albany Creek Crematorium
Wednesday 6th July at 10.30am
Following the service, everyone is invited to share refreshments at the Samsonvale and District Public Hall, Winn Road, Mt Samson. (about 20 minutes drive from the Crematorium)

Fran was an active member of the Samsonvale Hall Committee and loved relaxing on the verandahs.

It would be appreciated if you could please bring a plate to share at the Hall.
